MALAT1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: We observed that in untreated samples, MALAT1 was found to be overexpressed in 6/9 (66.7%) NSCLC tissues, while only 3/6 (50%) remained positive for MALAT1 after DNAse treatment, showing that, in total, 3/9 (30%) tested samples were false positive before the DNAse treatment step.
