The patients undergoing gemcitabine monotherapy were older; had higher bilirubin, ALP, and CA199 levels; were more likely to be classified as PS ≥ 2; had albumin < 3.5; and were stented but less likely to present with lung metastasis and ICCA than patients treated with gemcitabine-based doublet chemotherapy. Here, ALB is linked to infantile convulsions and choreoathetosis.
