The correlation analysis of metabolite levels and clinical parameters showed that phosphatidylcholines were negatively associated with serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, NAFLD activity score, and fibrosis score, while lysophosphatidylcholines, sphingomyelins, amino acids, and acylcarnitines shared the reverse pattern. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
