Finally, we did not observe any evident differences between PHK18A1 and PHK18B1 in forming epithelia in organotypic culture: both showed hyperplasia, in addition to high levels of CK10, PCNA, and p16 throughout the tissue, compatible with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia [20,47]. The gene discussed is PCNA; the disease is cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
