IL1B and coronary artery disorder: Martínez et al. [93] in a cohort of 40 patients with ACS and 33 with stable CAD, demonstrated that 1.5 mg colchicine (1 mg followed by 0.5 mg 1 h later) administered up to 24 h prior to PCI reduced the transcoronary gradient of IL-1β, IL-18 and IL-6 immediately following PCI in ACS but not stable CAD patients.
