By exploring the response of 505 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment, it was found that patients with the MEG3 rs10132552 CC genotype had a significantly higher risk of developing anemia (OR = 3.001, 95% CI = 1.355–6.646, p = 0.007), and patients with the rs10132552 CT genotype responded better to chemotherapy (OR = 0.261, 95% CI = 0.089–0.770, p = 0.015). This evidence concerns the gene MEG3 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
