Frequent methylation of ADAMTS12, CCDC181, FILIP1L, NAALAD2, PRKCB, and ZMIZ1 (up to 90.7%), as well as less common of CD44 and KCTD8 (up to 34.4%), was identified in PCa, which significantly differed from NPT (0–35.3%) and BPH samples (0%) (all p < 0.0500; Figure 2A). Here, FILIP1L is linked to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
