In terms of different types of ABPs, our discussion shows that actin monomer-binding proteins (such as profilin family, twinfilin, and transgelin) are mainly related to lung cancer and breast cancer; actin filament polymerases (VASP) are related to lung cancer; severing proteins (cofilin-1) are related to lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. The gene discussed is VASP; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
