Authors showed that the relative risk of experiencing any CV event (heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia) was lower with degarelix than all LHRH agonists (RR 6.9% versus 17.7%; 0.39; 95% CI 0.19-0.79; p=0.01) (Table 2) and the incidence of heart failure and arrhythmia was particularly lower in cases treated with degarelix. This evidence concerns the gene GNRH1 and heart failure.
