IGHE and urticaria: Perhaps not coincidentally, the clinical application of Forsythiae Fructus includes but not limited to IgE/FcεRI-associated pruritus, such as eczema (Chen et al., 2015b), urticaria (Chien et al., 2013), senile skin pruritus (Yang et al., 2018), uremic pruritus (Dong et al., 2018) and atopic dermatitis (Bardana, 2004; Chen et al., 2015a), which may be attributed to its inhibitory effect on two types of MC degranulation.
