In conclusion, our results demonstrate that the inhibition of neutrophil proteases, HNE and CG, as well as the reduction of the GRO/KC level by rBbCI-His(6), reduces thrombus formation without changing the parameters of coagulation and bleeding time, reinforcing the role of inflammation in the development of venous thrombosis and suggesting the possibility of a less hemorrhagic therapy.
