Four of the IEAA-associated SNPs (rs2736100 in TERT, rs2275558 in PBX1, rs144317085 in TET2, and rs2492286 in RPN1) were associated with 16 unique traits including multiple cancers (e.g., lung cancer, glioma) [33, 34] and blood cell counts (e.g., platelet count, eosinophil count, red blood cell count) [24, 35]. This evidence concerns the gene TET2 and lung carcinoma.
