Results from analyses using the weighted median method showed significant protective associations of genetically proxied GLP1R agonism (OR, 0.77; 95% CI, 0.62–0.96; P=0.02) and improved glycemic control (OR, 0.98; 95% CI, 0.96–1.00; P=0.04) with heart failure risk, and directionally concordant but nonsignificant associations of genetically proxied GLP1R agonism with LVEF (SD change in LVEF, 0.18; 95% CI, −0.07 to 0.42; P=0.16; Table S6). The gene discussed is GLP1R; the disease is heart failure.
