Criteria A: At least ONE of the following factors (Annual mammogram)· Significant family history i.e. first-degree family with breast cancer (mother, sister, daughter)· Carrier of BRCA1 and 2 genetic mutation· Atypical hyperplasia in breast biopsyCriteria B: At least TWO of the following factors (Biennial mammogram)· Never gave birth (or) gave birth to a child after 30 years of age· Early menarche (less than 12 years of age)· Late menopause (more than 55 years of age)· Receiving hormone replacement therapy (HRT)· Obesity: Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥ 27.5 Here, BRCA1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
