The study investigates the levels of C reactive protein (CRP), interleukin 1β (IL-1β) and stromal-derived factor 1α (SDF-1α) at the time of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and at 1 and 6 months afterwards, compared with a control group. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL12 and acute myocardial infarction.
