FN1 and infection: Fibrinogen (Fg, 1 g/mL) was converted to fibrin (Fn) in an imaging dish using thrombin (5 NIH units/mg) and subsequently incubated with DyLight 488 NHS-Ester, a fluorescent labeling reagent (50 μg/mL in PBS) to image the dissolution dynamics of a Fn clot during infection.
