In drug resistance of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, lncRNA Xist, which may present a novel and potential therapeutic target in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, has been implicated in the resistance of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells to cisplatin (DDP) by facilitating programmed cell death 4 (PDCD4) and Fas ligand (Fas-L) expression (Wang et al., 2019b).
