lncRNA Xist involves esophageal squamous cell carcinoma development via regulation of miR-101/EZH2 axis (Wu X. et al., 2017), and facilitates esophageal squamous cell carcinoma proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion via regulation miR-494/CDK6 axis and activation of JAK2/STAT3 signal pathway (Chen et al., 2019f). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
