Additional NLRP3 selective inhibitors have been developed, which inhibit ATPase activity (151, 152), or oligomerization of NLRP3 (153), and these inhibitors prevented or ameliorated the development of joint inflammation in arthritis (154), metabolic perturbation in high fat diet-fed mice (151, 153), and autoinflammatory syndromes (151–153). Here, NLRP3 is linked to autoinflammatory syndrome.
