In our previous study, we identified the presence of three small HSPs (Alpha-B Crystallin/HSPB5, Hsp20/HSPB6, Hsp22/ HSPB8) in serum, peritoneal fluid, and in isolated exosomes in patients with ovarian cancer which was positively correlated with markers of the cytotoxic immune response (Wyciszkiewicz et al., 2019[62]). The gene discussed is CRYAB; the disease is ovarian cancer.
