Thus, since the AGEs/RAGE ligation is able to induce kidney inflammation and oxidative stress and given the lack of studies that evaluate the effect of γOz in renal AGEs/RAGE modulation, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of γOz in reducing renal inflammation and oxidative stress by modulating AGEs/RAGE axis in animals submitted to a high sugar-fat diet. This evidence concerns the gene AGER and inflammation.
