CD58 and autoimmune disease: The ideal clinical application model of CD58 in cancer immunology is to stimulate the surface expression of CD58 on cancer cells and to inhibit the secretion of sCD58 into the tumor microenvironment, however, there still remains several pending questions (1): the molecular mechanisms of sCD58 production (2); the roles of sCD58 in varieties of cancers (3); values as a therapeutic target in autoimmune diseases and malignant tumors.
