AFAP1-AS1 has been reported to be involved in carcinogenesis in a number of types of cancer, including esophagus, adenocarcinoma, gastric cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and non-small lung cancer.26,42–45 In this study, AFAP1-AS1 was identified with high expression in lung adenocarcinoma and positively correlated to patients’ poor prognosis, but its specific mechanism on metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma is not very clear. Here, AFAP1 is linked to adenocarcinoma.
