In this work, we confirmed our above findings that SUZ12 and CCDC43 are direct transcriptional targets of HMGA1, which is similar with some studies showing that HMGA1 transcriptionally regulates KIT ligand in breast and ovarian cancer cells [36], and HMGA1 and HMGA2 proteins positively regulate Pit1 promoter activity in pituitary adenoma GH3 and αT3 cell lines [49]. This evidence concerns the gene KIT and ovarian carcinoma.
