To further validate that TSPYL5 phosphorylation at threonine 120 plays a key role in the EMT-associated, CSC-like properties of NSCLC cells, we designed peptide inhibitors based on the TSPYL5 amino acid sequence to prevent threonine 120 phosphorylation by competitively binding to AKT (TS120 peptides: Fig. 8a). This evidence concerns the gene TSPYL5 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
