With respect to the mechanism of KAT2A‐mediated succinylation on histones, studies indicate that whatever prohibiting the α‐KGDH complex from entering the nucleus, or blocking the α‐KGDH complex from entering the nucleus, or expressing mutant KAT2AY645A reduced histone succinylation on H3K79 and suppressed the growth of intracranially injected glioblastoma cells, indicating that KAT2A‐mediated H3K79 succinylation promotes tumour growth. Here, KAT2A is linked to glioblastoma.
