INS and Hypertension: At present, the etiology of hypertension is considered to be closely related to genetic factors, environmental factors, vasoactive substances, sympathetic nervous system, renin angiotensin system, nitric oxide synthase/nitric oxide, endothelin, and insulin.[13] At present, more and more evidences support that abnormal sensitivity and reactivity of peripheral blood vessels and structural changes of vascular wall are the main pathogenesis of hypertension.[14] Modern studies have confirmed that hypertension is the result of abnormal vascular changes.
