CGAS and inflammatory bowel disease: Enriched pathways from STRING showed that the induced transcripts may be involved in inflammatory bowel disease and dominance of immune-related pathways, including NF-kappa B, IL-17, Toll-like receptor signaling pathways, and Th17 cell differentiation, confirming the specific role of cGAS and its potential interactions in response to bacterial infections under the colitis (Figure 4D).
