Enriched pathways from STRING showed that the induced transcripts may be involved in inflammatory bowel disease and dominance of immune-related pathways, including NF-kappa B, IL-17, Toll-like receptor signaling pathways, and Th17 cell differentiation, confirming the specific role of cGAS and its potential interactions in response to bacterial infections under the colitis (Figure 4D). Here, CGAS is linked to bacterial infectious disease.
