They indicated that eugenol exhibits anti-breast cancer properties by triggering apoptosis through the induction of the intrinsic pathway, by increasing p21WAF1 expression, by inhibiting cyclin D1 and ERK1/2, p38 and NF-κB signaling pathways that were known to play a key role in oral carcinogenesis.
