BAP1 and urinary bladder carcinoma: In a previous study carried out in the USA, fifty-four cases with bladder cancer were sequenced and reported mutation in breast cancer-associated protein (BAP1) in about 15% of the enrolled cases which was an earliest attempt [7], which further directs to the alteration in breast cancer gene (BRCA) gene pathway and facilitates the induction for the features of papillary histological modification in bladder cancer [7].
