Studies demonstrated that α-pinene inhibits cell growth in prostate cancer and ovarian cancer [33,34], and induces G2/M cell cycle arrest through up-regulation of Chk1 and Chk2 levels and down-regulation of cyclin B1, CDC25 and CDK1 levels in hepatoma carcinoma BEL-7402 cells [35]. Here, CDK1 is linked to ovarian cancer.
