The American Heart Association (AHA) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported (Verma and Yeh, 2003; Hu et al., 2006; Yang et al., 2009; Chinnadayyala et al., 2019) that individuals with CRP concentrations of less than 1.0 μg ml−1 (1.0 ng μl−1) are at low risk of cardiovascular disease, while those that have CRP concentrations between 1.0 and 3.0 μg ml−1 (1.0 and 3.0 ng μl−1) are at moderate risk of cardiovascular disease. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and cardiovascular disorder.
