Additionally, previous reports have shown that most of these genes that are co-expressed with SHMT2, including EIF2S2 (Zhang J. et al., 2020), PCK2 (Chen et al., 2020), PHGDH (Yoshino et al., 2020), PSAT1 (Chan et al., 2020), RBCK1 (Yu et al., 2019), TRIB3 (Lin et al., 2018) and YARS (Zhang C. et al., 2020), play an oncogenic role in tumorigenesis and progression, which further revealed that SHMT2 might also play an important role in BLCA. Here, SHMT2 is linked to bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
