METTL14 was shown to exert its oncogenic role by regulating MYB and MYC through m6A modification in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) (Weng et al., 2018), whereas it also suppressed tumorigenesis and metastasis of bladder cancer or hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (Gu et al., 2019; Ma et al., 2017).
