Since CD40 has been shown to play a role in a number of autoimmune diseases including GD (14–17), Iscalimab has begun preliminary testing in several autoimmune conditions including myasthenia gravis (18), rheumatoid arthritis (19), Sjogren’s syndrome (20), and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) (21). This evidence concerns the gene CD40 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
