This investigation revealed that high expression of the NRF2 gene (NFE2L2) is associated with decreased overall survival (OS) in breast cancer patients independently of the expression of estrogen receptor (Fig. 6E) with a 26% and 20% increase in mortality (Fig. 6F) in TNBC and ER + breast cancer patients, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene NFE2L2 and breast carcinoma.
