CD8A and neoplasm: Since the effector phase of T cell-mediated anti-tumor responses relies on the presentation of tumor antigens in the context of MHC class I by the tumor cells, and insufficient presentation of antigenic peptides in MHC class I hampers CTL-mediated tumor killing, loading of tumor cells with C16:0 peptides would perhaps allow for improved tumor recognition and killing by antigen-specific CD8+ T cells.
