Consistent with the data obtained from miR‐126 inhibitor, transfecting a miR‐126 mimic into SSc‐MVECs induced a 550‐560‐fold increase in miR‐126 after 24 to 48 hours transfection (Figure 4A) and significantly decreased the mRNA expression levels of SPRED1 by 0.26‐0.25 folds and PIK3R2 by 0.24‐0.25 folds, compared to control miR mimic (Figure 4B‐C). Here, PIK3R2 is linked to systemic sclerosis.
