In agreement to the above GSEA approach, the network approach points out the particular importance of MYC. It appears that MYC has a particular importance in leukaemia where it is significantly upregulated (six folds), while at the same time being connected to 23 other upregulated genes and having highest ‘betweenness’ (0.87) of the most connected part of the network. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is leukemia.
