As a member of the Aurora kinase family, Aurora kinase A (AURKA) has multiple functions in mitosis and non-mitotic biological processes [19, 20], overexpression of AURKA is implicated in genetic instability and tumorigenesis in various cancers, including ovarian cancer, leukemia, liver cancer, lung cancer, and pancreas cancer [21–27]. This evidence concerns the gene AURKA and ovarian carcinoma.
