The results of GSEA indicated that the differentially expressed immune-related genes between the two risk groups were enriched in the pathways: “citrate cycle TCA cycle,” “RNA degradation,” “focal adhesion,” and “cell adhesion molecules (CAMs).” Therein, the “RNA degradation” pathway can regulate the function of lncRNA GAS5 in mammalian cells [29], while GAS5 contributes to not only the susceptibility but also the lymphatic metastasis of colorectal cancer [30]. The gene discussed is GAS5; the disease is colorectal cancer.
