Previous cancer studies with 45 medulloblastoma cases55, 27 breast cancer tumors56 or 38 prostate cancer samples57 and drug response profiling studies with 48 Jak2-mutated neoplasms58 show that these cohort sizes can already be useful to molecularly characterize cancer subtypes and help in the discovery of future biomarkers. The gene discussed is JAK2; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
