As an architectural transcriptional factor, the oncogenic protein high mobility group AT‐hook 2 (HMGA2) is highly expressed in the early embryo and malignant tumours, such as prostate cancer [7], as well as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [8], whereas it is absent or markedly diminished in normal adult tissues [9, 10]. This evidence concerns the gene HMGA2 and prostate carcinoma.
