The selection pressure exerted by the immune surveillance is probably one of the drivers of the emergence of B-cell clones since chromosomal alterations in the 9p24.1 region which harbors the PDL1 and PDL2 loci are found in most classical Hodgkin lymphomas (HL) as well as in 27% of non Germinal Center B (GCB) DLBCLs, both B-cell cancers strongly associated with NF-κB activation (24). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is Hodgkins lymphoma.
