It has been reported that vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) senescence is closely related to Ang II-induced hypertension and vascular remodeling.6,7 To clarify whether VSMC senescence was involved in the protective effect of CD38 deficiency on Ang II-induced vascular remodeling in the present study, the effects of Ang II stimulation on VSMC senescence were determined. This evidence concerns the gene AGT and hypertensive disorder.
