In Parkinson’s disease, a major pathologicalfinding is Lewy bodies and neurites that are mainly composed of phosphorylatedand aggregated α-synuclein and fragments of organelle membranes. Here, we analyzed a series of selective inhibitors acting on multidomainproteins CBP and p300 that contain both lysine acetyltransferase andbromodomains and are responsible for the recognition and enzymaticmodification of lysine residues. This evidence concerns the gene CREBBP and Parkinson disease.
