This is the most active L1 in human cancers responsible for nearly a quarter of all cancer-associated L1 retrotransposition (particularly in breast cancers it drives ~70% of retrotransposition events).22 MINT-Seq in MCF7 cells revealed that this L1HS-Ta RNA is highly m6A-methylated (Fig. 2e).
