Recently, a study found that miR-143-3p was highly expressed in lung cancer patients with brain metastasis, which depended on METTL3 promoting Dicer splicing pre-miR-143 into mature miR-143 in lung cancer cells, followed by downregulation of VASH1-dependent degradation of VEGF, which promoted angiogenesis in lung cancer patients with brain metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene DICER1 and lung carcinoma.
