Interestingly, the membrane/cytoplasm ratio increased with the stage of the disease (0.07 in Ta; 0.38 in T1; 0.33 in T2; 0.46 in T3; and 0.63 in T4; Fig. 6B), suggesting that the plasma membrane anchoring of HOMER3 could be a molecular feature associated with tumour aggressiveness.
