STZ application raised NLRP1 (179–155%, P < 0.001) and NLRP3 (177–189%, P < 0.001) levels in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex of 3×Tg-AD mice (STZ group), whereas SG-Tang treatment normalized these abnormal up-regulations to 106–95% in NLRP1 (P < 0.001) and 122–110% in NLRP3 (P = 0.001–<0.001). This evidence concerns the gene NLRP1 and Alzheimer disease.
