Nakamura et al reported the case of a 41-year-old man who presented with MOG antibody-positive bilateral ON and meningoganglionitis after herpes simplex virus infection.[16] Ramanathan et al and Nakajima et al reported a case series of MOG antibody-associated ON.[17,18] In the 2 studies, 37.5% to 67% of patients had prodromal infections; however, no specific pathogens were described. Here, MOG is linked to infection.
